Dexter Moren Associates are working as architects and interior designers for 4C Hotel Group and Vascroft Construction on this new build development near St Paul’s Cathedral. The hotel will be the first under Marriott’s Westin brand in London.
Nine luxury residential apartments with river-facing views and 222 guestrooms, which include 29 suites, will be housed in a landmark new building. The development also includes a fitness and leisure suite, conference facilities, plus a restaurant and bar with spectacular views over the River Thames.
This complex design will replace a collage of tired buildings with a cohesive piece of architecture spanning both sides of Upper Thames Street. We will also introduce a new walkway along the river as the key element in a scheme connecting Chelsea Embankment with the Tower of London.
Our modern, pared-back interior design scheme draws inspiration from the site’s proximity to the River Thames and is informed by the Westin’s biophilic design ethos and core brand pillars – sleep well, eat well, move well, feel well, play well and work well. In developing the scheme the designer’s intentions were to approach the brands to look and feel from a fresh perspective, creating a hotel that would truly encompass modern elegance. The design is sophisticated and minimal, providing a timeless design, whilst ensuring the guest’s attention can be focused on the river view.
