Jana Iszatt joined Formwerkz Architects in early 2017 to set up a hospitality design division, complementing their existing teams. Together with Branding, Architecture, Landscape and a Think Tank, her team plays an integral role in the conceptualisation and implementation of new boutique & smart hotel brands, defining the future of technology & lifestyle experiences. Originally qualified as a furniture designer, Jana trained with some of the world’s leading luxury firms & design vanguards in London, NYC and Amsterdam – including Marcel Wanders, Thomas Heatherwick & KCA International. In 2014 Jana moved to Singapore to join Hirsch Bedner Associates. During her 15+ years experience, Jana has completed a multitude of high-end hospitality & residential projects within Europe, Asia and the Middle East- operators include Marriott, IHG & Hyatt Group as well as more boutique-style brands such as Kameha, Modrian & Motel One. With a strong sense of composition, Jana is curating unusual environments by breaking down the boundaries between object and space. The unique conception of each project is inspired by geographical, cultural & historical specifics. Whilst maintaining a contemporary yet idiosyncratic approach, the aim is to inspire an imaginative engagement, creating an experience and dialogue between the guest and the space they inhabit.
