Jeff is based in Bangkok, where he has focused on sustainable tourism with Six Senses group since 2016. His responsibilities now include managing operational impacts across 15 hotels and 32 spas, while supporting sustainable development for a pipeline of projects that grows the brand to touch on six continents. He holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainability, has a technical background in Environmental Engineering with consulting experience in USA and his native Canada, and even spent a brief stint in solar energy sales. His academic interests include Ecosystem Health, and he has worked on policy development tools for transboundary watershed management, and also participated in municipal-level ecological planning.
Jeff draws on a decade of experience launching community-based tourism programs, where he focused on capacity building and facilitating connections between travelers, indigenous peoples, and the natural world. A strong believer in the power of experiential learning, he encourages hospitality teams take every opportunity to engage in sustainability, to always seek ways to involve guests, welcome them to join in rebuilding a better future, and foster the authenticity and optimism that our world so desperately seeks.
