Rohma Sadaqat is a senior reporter on the business desk at Khaleej Times – the oldest English daily newspaper in the UAE. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, she first arrived in the UAE in 1993. Having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, with a double minor in History and International Studies from the American University of Sharjah, she began her career as an events reporter in Dubai.
Rohma has covered several major events in the UAE, including the announcement of the Dubai Expo 2020. She specialises in writing about the hospitality industry in the UAE, as well as the latest trends in travel and tourism. She also explores the contribution of the tourism sector to the country’s retail sphere. As a business reporter, she also actively tracks the latest developments in retail space.
In her free time, Rohma attends and participates in sessions on the empowerment of women, as well as the importance of sustainable practices and environmental protection. She is also a passionate speaker about the greater integration of people with physical disabilities in the global workforce. She enjoys reading, as well as a few rounds of PC and console gaming.
